Klin Onkol 2000; 13(2): 35-41.

Summary: Cutaneous T-lymphomas are a malignant expansion of T-lymphocyte clones with interupted development between bone marrow precursor and fully functional T-helper cell. These malignanies are mainly localised in the skin. The most important entities are mycosis fungoides and Sézary syndrome. It is necessary to choose treatment modalities according to stage – topically applied steroid hormones, topic cytostatics, phototherapy, photochemotherapy, extracorporeal photochemotherapy, radiotherapy, immune response modifiers, systemic chemotherapy – especially the new agent 2-chlorodeoxyadenosine, and targeting T-cell clones by fusion toxins (DAB-IL-2).
