Summary:

The authors treated 9 patients with a malignant lympho-granuloma resistant to the treatment in combination of COPP and ABVD using the protocol of the third row in the composition of lomustin, etoposid, vinblastin and dexamethason. 7 patients were treated due to primary resistance, 2 ones due to an early relapse (till 12 months since archieving complete remission). Complete remission was induced in 6 patients, 3 patients remained resistant to the treatment administered. The complete remission is lasting in 3 patients, a relapse occured in 2 patients after 12 and 7 months of its duration. One patient died after 2 cycles of the treatment due to generalized tuberculosis in sectionally proved complete remission. Compared with other protocols (e. g. ABVD) this one was tolerated well. The main side effects were leukocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, mild nausea and vomitting, steroid diabetes mellltus and cushingoid appearance.
