Summary:Three groups of cancer patients were followed by means of three different sets of usual biochemical methods. The aim was to find out the dynamics of renal functions afterad ministration of cis-platin as to get an imagination of the influence of cis-platin on renal cells, to compare the one-day and the five-day schedule of cis-platin treatment, to verify the validity of usual methods in patients with testicular tumours treated with the Einhorn's chemotherapy combination and to recommend a complex regimen of follow-up for patients after cis-platin chemotherapy.

The results of the follow-up and information from literature made it possible to construct the starting theory of cis-platin influence at cellular level, further the results confirmed, that one-day application of cis-platin is more aggressive than the five-day regimen and that the two regimens are time-shifted when compared one to the other. Further the results draw attention to the fact that patients do not come in a metabolically optimal state for chemotherapy, so that vigorous hydratation within cis-platin administration improves the overall state of the kidneys. Changes'of other followed parameters may be connected not only with nephrotoxicity, but can also be the consequence of tumour destruction, of gastrointestinal toxicity of cis-platin or of the nutrition state changes, or maybe also of unreliable urin collection. Some results point to the possibility, that cis-platin not only influences the function of the tubuli, but also interferes with the function of glomerul.
