The treatment of cervical intraepithelial CIN I-III lesions requires very precise diagnostics. The extent of treatment may be graded. In patients with early stages of cervical carcinoma the decision to what extent the treatment will be radical can be taken in agreement with clinical stage. Surgical treatment should be performed in centres which are experienced in radical operations. Modern radiotherapy plays and important role in the treatment of cervical cancer. Chemotherapy should be applied only within control clicical trials. Detailed therapeutical results and 5-year survival rates are shown and discussed according to the Annual report, FIGO, Vol.21, 1991.
