The leucocytic HLA-DR antigens and germinative tumours in men

Klin Onkol 1993; 6(4): 113-114.

Summary: The HLA-DR antigens 1 to 7 were examined in 30 patients with germinal tumors of the non-seminoma type and their frequency compared statistically with the incidence of these antigens in 130 healthy subjects. A higher frequency of HLA-DR3 (30% as compared with 16.1% in controls) was not significant after correction of p. The antigens HLA-DR4 (pe = 0.03) and HLA-DR6 (pe = 0.0004) were in patients not found. This statistically significant result could mean a certain protection of the HLA-DR4 and/or HLA-DR6 carriers against the risk of the development of the non-seminoma type germinal tumor.
