Fatal Tumor lysis syndrome following single dose glucocorticoid in acute lymphoblastis leukemia

Klin Onkol 1994; 7(1): 26-27.

Acute tumor lysis is a well recognised entity following combination chemotherapy in patients with rapidly proliferative cancers. It's occurance following a single agent therapy is rare.
We describe a patient of acute tumor lysis following a single dose of corticosteroid. The role of glucocorticoid receptor study of lymphoblast is further discussed.
