Klin Onkol 1995; 8(6): 183-184.

Summary: The results of using triptorelin for treatment of carcinoma of the prostate were submitted and reference is made to the generally accepted principles of antiandrogenic therapy. The complete antiandrogenic blockade by LH-RH analogues as a part of treatment was used in patients before radical prostatectomy, in younger patients with a latent carcinoma verified histologically after transurethral prostatectomy, or in classical incisal operations performed for adenoma. The present results are highly encouraging, but the therapy is rather expensive.
