Prognostic factors of breast cancer

Summary: The most important prognostic factors of breast cancer are summarised. They are analysed as regarded to the ill woman, to the tumor, histology of the disease, number of nodes involved, to the type of dissemination. Out of all patients, 60-80% are dying for dissemination. Only 40% has a local recurence as a first sign of dissemination. The most important prognostic factor for the operable breast cancer is number of involved regional axilary lymph nodes. There are analysed also the probability of treatment results in the case of disseminated disease.
