Summary:  The autors have reported on 6 patients with a tumour-like affection, variant of fibrous bone dysplasia, which had been classified into a broad tern of osteogenic fibroma. In all the patients the lession developed in childhood, was located in the corticalis of tibial diaphysis that was deviated in the direction of the lesion (ventrally in 5 cases, dorsally in 1 case). The structural stability of the limb was not injured. The lesion was treated surgically (by block resection of the focus) in 3 patients, by excochleation in 2 patients. All the surgical interventions were carried out before finishing the growth. Conservative therapy was applied in 1 female-patient only.
