Summary: The authors describe the most often used flaps for breast reconstruction. 1. Latissimus dorsi myocutaneous flap. Advantages: easy dissection, good vascularized tissue. Disadvantages: limited volume of tissue, visible scar of the back. 2. TRAM pedicled myocutaneous flap. Advantages: big volume of tissue abdominoplasty. Disadvantages: long operation time abdominal defect. 3. TRAM free flap. Advantages: easy designed flap, good blood supply. Disadvantages: long operation time expensive equipment bigger failure rate (loss of the flap).
