Summary: Malignant lymphomas belong to potentially curable neoplastic disorders. Malignant lymphoma extension knowledge is necessary for treatment. In some situations morphological information has only limited value of predication and qualitatively different view mediated by functional image methods is valuable. This review article summarises indications, possibilities and limitations of functional image methods – gallium scintigraphy and positron emission tomography.
