Summary:
Backgrounds: Solitary fibrous tumor is a rare entity occuring in many anatomical localizations.
Design and subjects: We describe a case of solitary fibrous tumor in unusual localization in the pulmonary parenchyma.
Methods and Results: The lung tumor was examined routine histologically and immunohistologically and the findings in association with diffuse reactivity with CD34 were consistent with diagnosis solitary fibrous tumor without possibility prediction of biological behaviour.
Conclusions: Solitary fibrous tumor is ubiquitous and it is necessary to consider it in the differential diagnosis spindle-cell neoplasias in different tissues and organs.
