Morbus Hoddgkin with lymphotic prevalence

Klin Onkol 1988; 1(3): 84-87.

Summary: The authors evaluated the biopsy of 6 cases of a nodular paragranuloma localized in peripheral lymph nodes. As an axioma of the morphologic diagnosis we consider a nodularity of the tumour with lymphocyte predominance, only a small amount of diagnostic Sternberg-Reed cells, but copiously present lymphocytic and histiocytic variant of Sternberg-Reed cells, and a minimal participation of reactive elements. In three cases there was an evident correlation of developing neoplastic nodules with a progresive transformation of the germinal centers of the folicles. This advocates the opinion, that the nodular paragranuloma seems to represent a nodular B-lymphoma of the follicular germinal centre cells.
