How far can we go in oncological treatment?

Klin Onkol 1997; 10(2): 31-36.

The type of oncological treatment is decided not only by the diagnosis, but by many other factors. The most important are the prognois of the disease and performance status, but eventually even the decision of the patient. According to these factors, some patients fall into the groups not to be resuscitated (NTBR) and not to be treated (NT). Even for these patients, some types of treatment exist, which can improve their destiny, and which should not be abandoned.
