Summary: Analysis of oncological data coming from each department engaged in the treatment of malignancies should be considered the most reliable parameter concerning the care quality monitoring. This information could be made use of in designing a network of specialised departments covering the whole oncological care. A continual time ordered collecting the defined data would be necessary to ensure the comprehensible analysis. The possibility of acquiring the data directly from the hospital informational system is rather limited. However, a comparison of the results within a region or even within the whole republic may significantly influence the accreditation process of particular departments. The evaluation can be related to standing diagnostical and therapeutical standards.
