Plant organisms have common characteristic of all eukaryotic organisms. In same features are different from other eukaryotes especially from animals and human, e.g. plant cells have cell wall and plastids, a special group of organelles. As in animals and human the histo- and/or cytochemical methods are powerful tool in research of plant growth and development and responses to biotic and abiotic stimuli. Modern methods used in plant biology are usually optimized or derived from methods developed in animal and human research. A short survey of exploitation of these methods will be shown.
